Since then, they make you pay the full $20 for the whole year. First off, the scores on the home page load painfully slow. It takes about 15 seconds to load, and the information stating the pitcher vs batter information is usually wrong. Second, back then, elite pitching performances used to have up to 2 minute videos showing a whole outing, but now all we get is a dumbed down version that is about 45 seconds long.

I was also a fan of the condensed game because it would show a play by play of every out in the game within 15 minutes. Along with the previous videos I mentioned, the condensed game is now dumbed down to about 7 minutes. Third, the game audio is the main feature I use to listen to the games because I’m usually not able to watch, but the service constantly drops and I find myself having to close the app and restart. It’s so frustrating. As a fan, I can understand the whole “pace of play” stuff coming into effect, but real fans want to watch full highlights. Fix this garbage app. Stop worrying about notifications and work on the interface.

I decided to purchase the $20 in app purchase because I wanted to be able to watch full games. I do not have access to cable or satelite tv. When my team had its first spring training game a couple days ago, I tried to play the game and it says MLBtv subscription required. Now, I don’t know if it was because it’s spring training or if it’s because I misunderstood the apps purchase, but I would like to know exactly what it is I am paying $20 a year for if I cannot watch live games.

I want to add that I still enjoy the app and that I am not going to delete the app and I still find this a good resource, but I think that MLB should make a disclaimer for others who have the same impression.another idea is to add this to the $20 or make a separate in app purchase for live games. In addition, I am blacked out from watching Mariners games because I live in Alaska. FYI, it’s a three-hour flight.
