Logitech Mx Master 2s Wireless Mouse With Crosscomputer
MX Master, Improved The MX Master 2S looks a lot like its previous iteration, the, though it trades the latter's copper finish for a light gray, dark blue/teal, or dark gray/graphite body. Measuring 3.4 by 5 by 2 inches (HWD), the mouse is sculpted to fit right-handed folks with average-sized hands. Aside from the shortened 'Logi' logo on the left mouse button and MX Master 2S name printed on the bottom, you'd be hard pressed to tell the two generations apart, and that's fine with me. I liked the look and feel of the MX Master enough to make it my daily-use mouse for the past year. In this iteration, you get an improved 4,000dpi Darkfield sensor (up from 1,600dpi) that works on all surfaces, even clear glass. Once I dialed in a sweet spot using the Logitech Options control panel, the mouse tracked quickly and smoothly over my mouse pad, desk surface, and any other horizontal plane I used it on.
The mouse wakes from sleep instantly, and gives you a visual battery-level indication on its left side using three green LEDs. Speaking of battery life, that's been improved from 40 days to 70 days over the last version, though I didn't have the chance to test that out during the few days I've been testing the MX Master 2S. Logitech claims that the mouse will run for a full day on three minutes of charging, though I found it convenient to just keep the mouse plugged in while it fully charged over a few hours. There is a micro-USB port on the front of the mouse to plug in the included USB cable, which lets you recharge while using it. That's a lot more sensible than the Lightning cable port on the bottom of the, that renders it unusable while the mouse is charging. Same as the MX Master, there are seven buttons (left, right, center, back, forward, gesture, and scroll mode shift) and two scroll wheels, and they work the same way. Each of the buttons is adjustable for functions including left click, volume control, brightness control, and zoom, among others.
You can click the gesture button under your thumb, hold it, and move the mouse up, down, left, or right for additional commands. It's set to switch between windows in running programs by default, but you can change the functionality in Logitech Options. Because you have to learn a new motion, it may be unintuitive until you get used to it. Check out the review to get an impression of key feel and how the innovative scroll wheels work. My experience here was much the same, though using the mouse became second nature after tweaking the Logitech Options control panel to adjust the scrolling and mouse behavior to my ideal settings.

Logitech Wireless Mouse Mx Master
Connections, Connections. The easiest way to use the MX Master 2S is as a wired mouse. You can also use the included Logitech Unifying USB dongle, which is pre-paired, and you can add compatible keyboards like the. The most complicated of the three connection methods lets you pair the mouse to any Mac or Windows PC running Bluetooth 4.0 or later, but that's a straightforward process if you've ever used a Bluetooth device. A button on the bottom of the mouse lets you pair with and switch between a combination of up to three Bluetooth computers or Logitech USB receivers. For example, you can use the included dongle on your, while pairing the mouse up to your and another Windows PC or Mac via Bluetooth.
I used the MacBook Pro and the Surface Book in testing. Switching between the computers/receivers happens as quickly as you can tap the button, and three numbered LED lights let you know which devices are connected, but there is an easier way. Go With the Flow When it comes to using the mouse on multiple computers, the full potential of the MX Master 2S is unlocked once you download and install the free Logitech Options software. All you have to do is install the software on each machine, then set up the Logitech Flow feature. Once that's done, you'll be able to switch control between the computers just by moving the cursor between the screens, as long as all devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Just like if you had two (or more) displays connected side by side to one PC, if you move the cursor through the right side of one screen to the other, the cursor control will pass to the PC (or Mac) to the right. After I set up Logitech Flow, it worked pretty seamlessly, taking a second or two for text and image transfers.
File transfers can take a bit longer, depending on size, but the process is much quicker than old transfer methods like using a USB stick drive, copying a file by relaying it over a network drive, or emailing it to yourself. Closing one or both laptops to go to sleep is no issue: Once woken, the laptop reactivates Flow automatically, and full functionality returns in a matter of seconds. A Perfect Multitasking Mouse The Logitech MX Master 2S is the perfect mouse for multitaskers and anyone who wrangles multiple computers on the same desk.
Logitech Mx Master 2s Connect
It is comfortable to use all day, is responsive, and lasts two months on a single battery charge. Connectivity is a breeze, and is flexible between wired and two wireless modes including Bluetooth. Add Logitech Flow as a killer app, and you'll instantly become more productive as you copy and paste from one computer to another on the fly. While the Logitech M320 is still available, and is still a good choice if you don't want to spend a lot on a wireless mouse, the MX Master 2S supplants it as our Editors' Choice for general-purpose mice, thanks to its innovation, flexibility, and build quality.
