Reservations,. Download and Extract the Metrologic Installation Package listed above to the Windows Desktop. Click the Configuration Page link above.
Print the MetroUSB.rtf file (a PDF reader is required). Go to Start Control Panel Devices and Printers. Plug the Metrologic Scanner into a USB port. When first plugged in, an Installing New Hardware notification will appear in the system tray. An icon will also appear in the Devices and Printers screen that looks like this.
Scan barcode #1 on the Configuration Page. When the icon changes to this, right-click on the Metrologic Scanner and select properties. On the Hardware tab, click Properties. On the General tab, click Change Settings.
On the General tab, click Update Driver. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
Click Let me pick from a list of drivers on my computer. Select Show All Devices and click Next. On the Install From Disk window, click on the Browse button, and browse to Metrologics mtlgpos mtlgpos.inf from the Metrologics folder that was downloaded earlier in this procedure. Click OK on the Install From Disk window. Make sure Metrologic USB Scanner is listed under Model.
Click Install this driver software anyway on the security warning. Click Close when Windows has successfully updated your driver software. Close any open windows. The Metrologic USB Scanner should now look like this in the Devices and Printers window. Scan barcodes 2-6 on the printout from Step 6.
Restart the computer. Configure Fore! Reservations. Log in to Fore! Reservations. Click Setup. Click Hardware.
